Karl began his roofing career in the United States, erecting metal buildings and working on roofing projects  across Florida, New York and Colorado on the west coast.  During his time there, he gained invaluable experience managing crews and overseeing projects. Karl continued working across the East and West coasts of the US over the next two years, expanding his knowledge and skills in diverse roofing environments.

Upon returning to New Zealand, Karl continued to refine his craft by working with local roofing companies before going on to establish Dixon Roofing.
